The contest was about true love. Well, I interpret this in different views:
You can love someone really bad. At that moment you can handle the world by your own. Nothing can hurt you anymore. You've got thousand butterflies in your stomeache and that is that. etc. You probably know how it goes.

You can have a bleeding heart of love too. Your world collapses. You don't see the end of all the problems and sometimes ppl get nuts and want to commit suicide. You love someone so much, you would die for that person.

Or you can also interpret this picture on another way. Like a sort of addiction. Ppl who really want to die, they see suicide as an addiction. It's always in their minds and no one can change it (sometimes a docter can). They want nothing more than dieing, it's there only love...

I chose for the third point of view. I know it's a bit cliché but i like the idea of it. The message on the flag out of the gun... etc.
Un nouveau monde = A new world
It speaks for itself. When you are dead, you go to another place (some ppl believe in that, like heaven, you know...).
